Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the ExamPrep app (“the app”, package com.snappyapps.examprep) and these web pages collect, why, and the choices you have. The app is provided by Lena Snappyapps Technologies (OPC) Private Limited (“SnappyApps”, “we”, “us”). Questions: privacy@snappyapps.in.
Last updated: 29 October 2026 (moved to snappyapps.in; contact address updated)
// in short
- Parents and teachers create the accounts; children get a login code and PIN, with no email or phone number.
- We use the information only to run the app.
- No ads, and we don't sell data.
- You can delete everything at any time.
1. Who Uses the App
The app is for students in Classes 4–12, most of whom are children. A parent or teacher (“guardian”) signs in and creates each child's profile. Children cannot create an account themselves. By adding a child, the guardian confirms they are the child's parent or lawful guardian, or a teacher with the parent's permission, and consents to the processing described here.
2. What We Collect
| Information | From whom | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email address and sign-in method (Google or email/password); whether you are a parent or teacher | Guardian | To create and secure your account and show your name in the app |
| Child's name, class, board, state, stream and chosen avatar | Guardian | To show the right subjects, chapters and bundle |
| Child's login code; PIN stored only in hashed (scrambled) form | Generated by the app | So the child can sign in without an email or phone |
| Learning activity: answers, scores, time spent, streaks, XP, badges, goals and mock-test results | Child, while using the app | To recommend practice, show progress and produce reports for the guardian |
| Subscription status (plan, renewal date, purchase token) | Google Play | To unlock the plan you bought. We never see your card or bank details |
| Anonymous class averages (no names) built from scores | Derived | For “compare with peers” charts |
We do not collect a child's email, phone number, photos, contacts, precise location or advertising ID, and the app contains no advertising and no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
3. How We Use It
- To provide the app: sign-in, practice, mock tests, recommendations, progress reports and leaderboards.
- To process subscriptions and restore purchases.
- To keep the service secure (for example, locking a login code after repeated wrong PINs) and to fix problems.
We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or build profiles of children for any purpose other than their learning in the app.
4. Who Can See It
- The guardian sees their children's profiles, activity and reports.
- The child sees their own progress. On the leaderboard, children of the same guardian (siblings or a teacher's class) see each other's first name, avatar, level and XP only.
- Service providers who process data for us under contract: Google Firebase (authentication, database and cloud functions, hosted in India — Mumbai region) and Google Play (billing).
- Authorities, only if required by law.
5. How Long We Keep It
We keep account and learning data while the account exists. When a guardian removes a child, that child's profile, activity and login code are deleted. When a guardian deletes their account, all their data and their children's data are deleted. Google Play keeps its own purchase records under Google's policies.
6. Your Choices & Rights
- See and correct: view and edit your and your children's details in the app.
- Delete a child: Students tab → the ⋮ menu on the child's card → Remove.
- Delete everything: in the app, Account → Delete my account, or follow these steps if you no longer have the app.
- Other requests (access, correction, withdrawal of consent, grievances): email privacy@snappyapps.in. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) or other applicable law gives you further rights, you can use them by writing to us at the address above.
7. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored in Google Firebase with access rules that let a guardian reach only their own children's data. Children's PINs are stored hashed, and login codes lock for 15 minutes after five wrong PINs. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
8. These Web Pages
The ExamPrep pages on snappyapps.in are information pages. They do not use cookies or analytics, and they collect no personal information unless you email us. They load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your browser's IP address to deliver them.
9. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will tell guardians in the app.
